Information leading to the return of our
1957 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible
In the early morning hours of July 8, 2010, Leon’s Transmission Services, in Reseda, was broken into and our '57 Chevy Bel Air convertible was stolen.
The car was 2 years in the making, and several people at Leon’s spent many hours working on, and pampering, this car.
Not only is the physical loss great, but Leon’s also donated the use of this vehicle for events with Operation Gratitude, the Girl Scouts, and countless other civic events.
The Chevy’s next engagement would have been for the poster for Operation Gratitude’s Christmas fundraiser.
The crew at Leon’s is going to give 30 days in hopes that the authorities can recover the car, with possible help from "you, the public".
If we are unable to find it, we are going to vigorously pursue building another ’57 Chevy so that the commitments the car has to the community can be met.
If you have any information that may help in the return of our beautiful '57 Chevy, please contact Mark Llewellyn at (818) 345-8101.
Thank you, and stay tuned for information on the recovery efforts and the possible construction of another, 1957 Chevy Bel Air!
